I’m Katie Shannon, a Brooklyn-based casting and production professional dedicated to bringing authentic stories and diverse voices to the screen and stage. My work bridges creativity and organization — blending the instinctive eye for talent with the structure and coordination required to deliver high-quality productions.

My experience spans across film, theater, and unscripted projects, where I’ve supported casting, pre-production, and on-set logistics. I’ve collaborated with organizations and creatives including the Bushwick Film Festival, SheNYC Arts, Tribeca Film Festival, Cori Thomas, Freddy Noël, and Kweighbaye Kotee. These roles have strengthened my ability to manage complex production workflows, handle sensitive casting communications, and contribute meaningfully to projects from concept through completion.

Before transitioning fully into casting and production, I built a strong professional foundation in marketing and client relations. During my time at EssenceMediacom and Kinesso, I managed campaigns for brands such as YouTube, Google Fi, and E*Trade—experience that sharpened my project management, communication, and strategic storytelling skills. These disciplines continue to inform my work today, particularly in how I approach audience engagement, team collaboration, and creative development.
